The California Youth Crisis Line (CYCL) operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week as the statewide emergency response system for youth (ages 12-24) and families in crisis. Professionally trained staff and volunteer counselors respond to calls with crisis intervention counseling and resource referrals to service providers in the caller’s local community. They also provide referrals to services or organizations of interest, such as healthcare facilities, family planning agencies, shelters, self-help, support groups, and much more.

Low-Cost/Sliding Scale Resources
The Antioch University Counseling Center is a community counseling center providing psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, serving adults, adolescents, and children. Our outreach programs include our School-Based Program, in which we provide these services to local K-12 students on their school campuses at no cost to their families; our International Counseling Center is located in West Los Angeles, serving the needs of the international community of greater Los Angeles; our Ways of Being Community Counseling provides for the needs of LGBTQIA+ individuals and families; our partnership with the Culver City Senior Center provides on-site individual and group psychotherapy at no cost; and our Colors Youth program provides individual and group psychotherapy and counseling to LGBTQ youth, their families, and allies, also at no cost. Fees are based on a sliding scale and are very reasonable. The Antioch University Counseling Center cannot accept Medicare or Medi-Cal payments. A few licensed therapists on staff accept private insurance, but the Center does not. The Center does provide services for court-mandated clients. An online clinic that uses videoconferencing to provide clients with counseling and psychotherapy services in English & Spanish and is offered as weekly 50-minute appointments over 12 weeks or more. Individual therapy is available to California residents ages 12 and above. If you live in California, Telehealth can offer you greater convenience, privacy, and confidentiality at no cost. KFAM employs highly-trained, bilingual/bicultural Korean licensed or registered therapists, psychiatrists, and interns. Counseling services are private and confidential. Counseling services are free for those who qualify for our government-funded services. For those who are unable or unwilling to enroll in government-funded programs such as Medi-Cal, KFAM has an income-based sliding scale or pro bono (free) services for those who meet eligibility requirements. The Children’s Outpatient are for children, teens, and transitional age youth (TAY) with emotional and behavioral issues that require special attention and specialized care in an environment especially designed for them.
